FIRST STEP FOR PLACEMENT







Hold the lens between the thumb 
and second finger using the index 
finger to guide the lens.  If the 
lens has an aperture (hole or 
fenestration), it should be on 
the temporal side.  If the optic 
is decentered, the wide portion 
of the haptic should be temporal.   
Have the patient look down and 
pull the upper lid up.
